A straight prayer, from the heart
One of the chaplains posted this prayer request recently. Since it has no identifying information, it would not break any confidentiality principles to post it. It struck my as the personification of Jesus' statements about approaching God as a child.
"I hope my father comes out surgery ok. He had a sickness which can kill people."
Reading such requests humbles me. Sometimes I get stuck thinking I need to be eloquent with a lot of thou's and biblical references, but then something like this request comes along and I realize how eloquent an honest request truly is.
