Preliminary Next Year Schedule Coming
The Council met and put together our preliminary schedule of events for next year. We are excited and will send you more details as they come available.
August 23rd, picnic/barbecue for students and residents (graduates always welcome.)
September 1st, 5-7 PM, Quad at CU, new student activities presentations
September 20th, 6 PM, Chaplain Dr. Marilyn Menges from PSL will speak on recognizing domestic abuse (unfortunately common in Christian and medical communities too.)
September/October, date TBA, Gino Geraci, "Everything you always wanted to know about Christianity but were afraid to ask."
October/September, date TBA, Ted Palen, MD PhD, Basics of Stem Cells
November, date TBA, Inner City Health Center presentation
December, Christmas Party!
January, Chuck and Sandy Crown, Medical Marriages (they do this nationally, a great resource)
February, Missions Conference
March, Saline Solution, an effective and ethical solution for integrating faith and practice.
April, work and family conference
May, Celebrate the new CU graduates
There will also be a series based on the CMDA book, "Practice by the Book", presented by Dennis Carter, MD. He is thinking of tuesday evenings. Jack Hotchkiss is also planning a Saturday AM Bible study for docs and students.
Please come join us, the more the merrier. Being a Christian doc or dentist can be a challenge and we are here to come beside you, give you opportunities to learn, serve, or be fed depending on your own situation.
