Hygeine Hypothesis
The hygeine hypothesis says that being too clean can cause problems with autoimmune disease. Here is a short link. I've seen it related to Crohn's disease as well. DenverDocWife grew up on a farm in Kentucky, drank water out of the cow pond when she was thirsty as a child. She has no allergies, poison ivy doesn't touch her. I grew up in Southeast Denver suburbs and every spring the grass pollens get me. Hm. Hope I don't get Crohn's!
