Mumps outbreak
Just got a note from Infection Control. We just saw our first Colorado case of mumps associated with a midwest outbreak. Be alert. If you suspect a case, draw a red top tube and do a buccal swab with a DACRON (not cotton) swab in viral transport medium, preferably M4 medium and send to Colorado State Health, 303-692-2700.
