World renowned war surgeon, author and co-founder of the Italian humanitarian organization, Emergency, Dr. Gino Strada will be making an historic visit to Colorado April 3-9, 2005. Emergency was formed in 1994 with the aim of providing medical and surgical assistance to victims of war by setting up and managing hospitals in the hardest hit areas. With frank reality and deep humanity, Dr. Strada shares his profound experiences working in Afghanistan, Iraq, Rwanda, Peru, Pakistan, Cambodia and the former Yugoslavia.
